The Lords of War: Syndicate

The year is 2069. The word government does not exist as politicians have relinquished their rights of power to syndicates. The world is undermined and ruled by these organizations who dominate by ruthlessness and power. These syndicates have developed a way for consumers to interact with the world of technology via a chip implant. This implant allows them to interact with and control technology with just a blink of an eye.

In exchange for receiving the implants, or "chip'd", consumers would be able to enjoy numerous benefits, luxuries, and amenities such as housing, education, medical insurance, banking, entertainment, and jobs. These allowances don't come without the consumers selling their souls to the syndicates. The syndicates would be able to gain access to the consumers via the chip implants possibly making them do things that they don't want to necessarily do. They would be helpless as their bodies perform involuntary actions of murder, mayhem, malicious intent courtesy of the syndicates.

The syndicates fight for top market share and stop at nothing to achieve it. At the helm of their war are bio-engineered, chip augmented, enforcers, called agents. They are deadly and stealthy sentinels that patrol and maneuver through the dataverse. They can hack anything wired to the digital world, including enemies, their weapons, or the environments around them. They are deemed the most deadly technological weapons in the world.

In the game you take on the role of agent Miles Kilo, Eurocorps most deadly and elite of agents, as he ventures through the world of corporate espionage and murder. The original Syndicate game was a popular IP that was featured back in 1993 and was made available for several console mediums and PC formats. Syndicate was originally an isometric real time strategy based game created by Bullfrog Productions.

The game was the first in its series which was followed by two other installments, Syndicate: American Revolt, which served as an expansion pack, the sequel Syndicate Wars, and Syndicate Plus which included the original game and the expansion pack. Check out the announcement trailer of the game and the Syndicate interview with GameSpot's Maxwell McGee and Electronic Arts Global Brand Manager, Leo Soskin.
